Advancement In The Pediatric Medicine Sector



The child and mother healthcare have been there since ages in our Vedas. There are many sections of Vedas like The Atharva Veda has mentioned the vitality of child and mother wellbeing. In ancient India, the practice of pediatric medicine, or being a pediatrician was referred to as Kaumarbhritya Tantra. And with the advent of time, and technological development the pediatric medicine has become one of the most booming sectors of the Indian economy.

Dr. George Coelho is known as the father of pediatric medicine in India, and beside him, there are many other doctors and scientists who have contributed in making the pediatric medicine sector of India what it is today. With the advancement of technology and pediatric medical conditions of disorder in the child can be suspected at an early stage so that required steps can be taken within the stipulated time.
Also, pediatric medicines have become capable of fighting various ailments in infants. It is commendable to mention that the number of deaths of children below five years of age has also decreased to a great extent; all because of the advancement, and improvement in pediatric medicine.

It will not be wrong to say that research in pediatric medicine is one of those career options which have more scope than any other sector; since the government is also initiating the same. Apart from the government of India, many US-based companies have also invested a huge amount in the research and development sector for pediatric medicine advancement.

Strengthening the infants and mothers is a step towards investing in quality youth for the country in the coming years. And the involvement of the pediatricians is pivotal for the same to happen. Pediatricians have a big say in improving the quality of care of the economy. Good infants will lead to a good future economy!
